Wheel Wash System with Reusable Water from Settlement Tank

Mace/Getjar constructed a wheel wash system that directs all jet wash water into a settlement tank. We then re-use this water to fill each jet wash tank to continue with the wash without using mains water supply.

We are filtering all used water over and over again to reduce water consumption from the LSE project. Location for the wheel wash was key due to interaction with project works, as was the position of the settlement tank to reduce movement over the project duration.

The benefits include to fill up 2x Bowser of 1125L Bowser once a week to filter and reuse this water daily for wheel washing purposes. This eliminates the constant use of Thames Water supply which with the daily muck away vehicle sequence could have been drawing 4500L daily.
