Wireless Banksman Alarms

The use of warning systems on site can help to protect operatives and visitors.

Safety alert systems are particularly beneficial for operatives working in areas where overhead lifting could be taking place.

This site successfully implemented a wireless banksman alarm which had the following safety benefits:

  • When overhead lifting was due to take place the banksman using a remote control, sounded an alarm and a flashing red beacon to let all operatives know they needed to vacate that area;
  • The wireless alarm system can be set up in several areas of the site individually;
  • Signage was also displayed around the site to warn operatives of lifting operations in their area.
