Building People’s Search Portal

Building People is collaborating with the construction industry to help young people, particularly individuals from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds, access employment and learning opportunities in the construction industry.

Building People has launched an excellent online resource called the ‘Search Portal’ to connect young people with career opportunities in construction and to encourage the next generation to consider a career in the construction industry.

The Search Portal includes a range of schools, colleges, academies and universities who are providing exciting career prospects for young people. While the Portal also features industry-wide resources for young people to access for advice and information, including Go Construct, Women in Construction and Design, Engineer, Construct!

The Search Portal also includes a list of contractors who are providing a vast range of career opportunities, including employment, apprenticeships, graduate schemes, internships and work experience. This is a fantastic platform for contractors to showcase their learning opportunities, maximise social value, connect with new workers and overcome the skills shortage in the construction industry.
