During their Monthly Safety Committee meetings, the workforce raised concerns around their ability to respond in a medical emergency, something they had thought more about after seeing high profile footballers and fans suffering heart problems at recent football matches.

The contractor were proactive in reinstating their CPR training offering and have now trained in excess of 340 people, giving their people the confidence and ability to react immediately to such a situation and administer life-saving care (both onsite and in their personal lives, benefitting the community).

They now train all new staff at their induction and have 2 defibrillators on site, and a training defibrillator, to use in these British Heart Foundation training sessions.
