HGV School Engagement Toolkit

CLOCS has developed a toolkit of materials and guides to help members educate children about the risks associated with Heavy Goods Vehicles and how to stay safe around them.

These materials have been developed for a school or youth group visit with a HGV hands-on ‘show and tell’ experience. Alternatively, the sessions can be delivered without a vehicle, and this can be just as effective in delivering the message of safety around HGVs. Where a vehicle is not involved, the materials can be easily edited as necessary.

Whether you’re visiting a school near a construction site or building a new local partnership, CLOCS has a step-by-step guide below which will take you through everything you need. The guide will take you through the initial planning to post-session feedback including all the supporting documents required for the session.

We would like to thank long-standing CLOCS member CEMEX for providing materials and documents that have helped form the foundation of these resources.
