Hydro Demolition Cage

The traditional hydro-demolition method requires an enclosure over the work area that covers a small location and needs to be produced/set up from scratch every time it is needed, thus making it an onerous job.

This traditional enclosure is built of Heras panels, scaffolding and noise blankets that simply segregate the area. To mitigate that, the project team created the hydro-demolition cage, a portable enclosure that can be easily moved and is height adjustable, thus reducing the time, cost and man power used in producing the traditional structures.

Instead of having to assemble the traditional enclosures and its various layers multiple times, the hydro-demolition cage is a pre-assembled structure that can be easily moved around to the necessary areas and reutilised. By saving man power and time, it is programme and budget effective.
