Improving Welfare Facilities

The industry should always be looking to provide and improve the high standards of welfare facilities on-site as a service to its workforce.

Below is an example of how we have transformed the welfare facilities to create additional social space:

  • The outdoor space is used for social interaction between workers, therefore we have allocated space for and built a dartboard area for our operatives;
  • Following this, we have started up a ‘Gabriel Square’ Darts League, with prizes awarded to the winners;
  • The League has been warmly welcomed by our workforce with a lot of operatives taking part in the first round;
  • Other games were supplied for operative use including cards, dominos, pick-up sticks and uno;
  • These games were left in the canteens for everyone to use.
