International Day of Charity

The International Day of Charity is coordinated annually by the United Nations (UN).

This day focuses on encouraging donations and carrying out charitable works.

To support the International Day of Charity on your site, you could do the following:

  • Carry out local research to understand which charities are located close to where your site is situated or find a charity that the local community particularly care about, and select a suitable charity to be adopted (with their agreement), for the duration of the project;
  • Allow operatives time out of work to complete charitable work;
  • Include posters from relevant charities in the canteen and other highly visible areas.

The International Day of Charity is held on 5 September annually.
