This initiative focuses on the physical and mental wellbeing of the workforce. Once a month, employees from the office, site and subcontractor teams gather for an hour to practice mindfulness, meditation, and exercise.

Classes are lead by the Community Liaison Officer who is also a qualified dance teacher, with guest instructors (such as yoga and boxercise instructors) taking the classes every couple of months to increase variety.

The sessions focus on mind-body connection and introduce a planned activity to the workforce that benefits them on and off site, giving them something to take part in together and look forward to each month.

Mental health talks, physical health advice, and a high standard of welfare facilities are often promoted to the workforce, but this contractor believes there is a gap in site-run activities and practices that go beyond talks or posters. This initiative allows the workforce to step away from site and do something good for their mind and body on company time as not just a once off, but a solidified part of the site schedule.
