Numbered Hi-Viz Jackets

On the Lotus Development, we are giving every person onsite (including Management) a unique number to put on their Hi-Viz clothing – we have bought stencils and fabric spray to do this, so the cost is negligible. The names are entered onto a log with corresponding number.

This helps us easily identify people on a busy site, and makes it easy to spot if someone is on plant machinery that they shouldn’t be on. From this we can also log training, toolbox talks, skills etc.

It isn’t easy to remember everyone’s names but from a simple number which is easily seen from a distance we can identify them easily as we carry updated logs on our tablets and phones. Lost yellow Hi-Viz is replaced with an orange version with the same number.
