Occupational Health Support

This contractor is attempting to provide an approach to mental health and wellbeing support to their site staff and supply chain by offering a variety of support mechanisms.

They provide on-site counselling service (face to face or virtually) once a year. The counsellor analyses the conversations they has with each member of the team and provides opportunities for further support where they identify this as necessary.

This is further supported by follow up counselling sessions. All site personnel are provided with a number which makes counselling service available to be contacted out of hours as required.

Their own site staff are also offered additional mental health support through an online app ‘Healthshield’ which also provides an opportunity for staff to engage with a counselling service 24/7.

In addition to this wellbeing is addressed by providing a Wellbeing App: The NHS-approved app, ‘Thrive’, that’s packed full of tips and techniques to help you understand, monitor and improve your mental health. For added support, they also have access to a live text chat service allowing them to speak to a wellbeing coach at the touch of a button

They also provide access to online Health Assessments: Online health and lifestyle assessments that provide clear recommendations, supported by nutrition diaries, stress and fitness programmes, plus video guides.
