Promoting Oral Hygiene to the Workforce

The company strive to provide ways for their employees and subcontractors to be both happier and healthier and it is seen that there are benefits of good oral hygiene. The mouth serves as a vantage point for detecting early symptoms of systemic diseases.

Systemic diseases such as diabetes, often start to become apparent as a mouth lesion or other dental problems such as gum infection. Aside from diabetes and cardiovascular conditions, there are other health complications caused by poor oral hygiene such as, Bacterial Pneumonia, Cancer, Sepsis and more.

Implemented throughout the business, an information guide was created explaining the importance of oral hygiene listing out the benefits good oral hygiene brings which is promoted to employees and subcontractors alike.

As well as this the company has provided sites with starter ‘oral hygiene kits’ to distribute to the workforce, to promote oral hygiene so operatives have both the knowledge and appreciation of what helps to maintain good oral hygiene throughout the working day. These kits include the following items: Travel folding toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste, travel sized mouthwash, floss, an Oral Hygiene Pocket Guide.
