Public Recycling Zone Within the Hoarding

Due to a lack of public recycling bins around the site and within the local Southwark area generally, we decided to provide this facility ourselves by incorporating a ‘Public Recycling Zone’ within the hoarding on our most trafficked street – Stamford Street.

This enables passing members of the public to recycle their waste through the different slots into a compartmentalised waste disposal unit which is emptied daily into the site-wide recycling bins by our logistics team.

The recycling zone is located in a recess within the hoarding so that those using the facility are just off the pavement to prevent causing blockages in foot traffic.

Being located here also means they are overlooked by the Traffic Marshals and covered by CCTV cameras 24 hours a day, therefore eliminating the risk of improper use.

Through this initiative, we are promoting and encouraging environmental sustainability and working towards keeping our streets clean.
