Summer Homeless Appeal

Every year around winter, this contractor donates coats and blankets to local charities or homeless centres, but with the increasing pressures of the cost of living on people we have found that there is still a massive demand in homeless centres during summer months.

They came up with the idea of donating Summer Hygiene packs (similar to a Christmas Shoe Box appeal) that contained essential items for the summer months such as water, sun cream, roller deodorant, feminine products and dental products etc. which they gave to Belfast Homeless Services to try and help with the demand on them to provide such items to the community.

This was very well received by the volunteers of Belfast Homeless Services and they plan to continue the donations for the duration of the summer to ensure that they have sufficient supplies for their drop ins.
