Across this project, in both the offices and welfare facilities there is an interactive touch screen totem stand available for all personnel to use. This stand displays timely project specific information including videos, safety information, the observation card app and much more.
Having the observation card app on the totem provides an additional mechanism for staff to submitting an observation card and reporting good practice and close calls with ease. The data that is captured from this is more timely and of greater detail than it would be reported
later in the day. This allows feedback to be more detailed and responsive, benefitting the project as a whole.
The observation app has been used across the business for many years, however having the additional flexibility and availability of the totem stand ensures they are continuously seeking to increase standards across the industry due to ease of reporting and removing barriers to reporting, as an email address and mobile device are not required.
