Presentive has been used on this project to check alignment of the client point cloud model of the existing basement. Some assumptions were made relating to positions and section sizes of steel columns which have been encased in concrete.
Wearing Hololens headsets on site in the basement using the Presentive software allowed a misalignment of digital geometry overlaid in the real-world to be detected. Due to this the the concrete encasement has been removed from the steel.
Unlike other tools operating on digital headsets, this software allows site logistics to be planned with a new level of insight as plant and equipment can be placed and driven and operated as they would be on site using Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality headsets.
