MEWP Register Procedure

In order to control MEWP’s on this project, the contractor have implemented a MEWP register procedure.

All deliveries must be pre-booked online, and delivery request will be reviewed by the Logistics Manager. The delivery schedule will be shared during Daily Logistics Meeting.

When MEWPs delivery is requested, the information is passed to member of Logistics Team. During MEWPs delivery a member of the Logistics Team will be present, checking if the machine is in good condition and certificates are in available and in date. If delivery is accepted, Plant Authorisation sticker will be placed with the following information: Plant Serial number, subcontractor & Date of Next Thorough Examination.

A copy of Thorough Examination Certificate will be collected and information will be added to MEWP Register (Excel format). This document will contain the following information: Item of Plan, ID number, SWL, Test date, re-test date. The document will also inform how many days left until next test. This feature helps member of Logistics Team to notify subcontractors when test date is approaching.

All MEWPs with expired Thorough Examination Certificate will be locked up until removed from site.

On a weekly basis a member of the logistics team will be checking MEWPs on site to ensure they are in good condition.
