PaperStone Countertops

PaperStone is a UK based material made of post-consumer recycled paper laminated with a petrofree resin.

The material is rainforest alliance certified and has low embodied carbon value of just 28 kgCO2e per m2 compared to the 94 kgCO2e per m2 of Corian – the typical alternative to work surfaces. This represents a 70% reduction in embodied carbon and is a biobased material which promotes circularity.

The product is unique in its construction method and paper-based material contents. It is also hardwearing and has a 10 year guarantee from the manufacturer. Over the course of a project, installing just 15m2 of work surfaces provides a saving of 1 tonne of embodied carbon.
