Supporting Sufferers of Domestic Abuse

The campaign is an opportunity to encourage individuals and organisations to challenge the myths and misconceptions around domestic violence, share resources and ultimately work together to make real positive change. This contractor held a number of webinars and ways to support this message throughout our sites.

The contractor has a domestic abuse steering group working to raise awareness and support people affected by domestic abuse.

They have introduced the ‘UK says no more’ Safe Space tool onto their intranet. The tool provides support, advice, and useful contact numbers for those experiencing domestic abuse. Accessing the tool leaves no trace on your internet history and there is a quick exit option for the person seeking information.

Every contractor area has a safe space for any staff member to come and talk to a trained nurse confidentially. Safe spaces provide a discrete way top reach out to friends and family and specialist support services.
