Digital Badging for Employability Workshops

Digital badges have been developed for jobseekers engaging in site visits, insight visits and work experience, as well as for secondary school pupils on work experience.

Job seekers do not currently get recognised for informal learning, this digital badge can be affixed to CV’s and potential employers can view exactly what learning was gained through the experience. Many impacts reported by the groups involved in terms of confidence building and supporting job progression into employment.

Recognition of informal learning to support career progression is particularly important for those who did not complete mainstream education or for those with no prior formal experience of the workplace.
