Scaffold Tie Design for Stonework

This contractor has developed bespoke scaffold ties for the scaffolding of the court building on this project.

These ties pass through 3mm stone joints and can be removed or pushed into the cavity when dismantling the scaffold, ensuring no damage to the stone.

This addresses the challenge of installing scaffolding without damaging the stone facade or leaving out large sections of stone. The bespoke scaffold ties eliminate the need for stone leave-outs, cutting, or glazing leave-outs, preventing potential damage and exposure to elements. This method enhances the efficiency and safety of the construction process.

The method reduces the need for additional labour and lifting aids, minimises potential damage to building materials, and enhances safety by reducing work on untied scaffolding sections.
