Ultra Low Carbon Concrete Free Blocks and Mortar

Cemfree Greenbloc is a high-density load-bearing concrete block, that delivers a bulk dry material density of 1850-2000 kg/m3. Made from class 1 aggregates and incorporating the Cemfree Binder, the blocks comply with H.S.E regulations and are manufactured to BS EN 77.

By not using cement the product can achieve a CO2 reduction of up to 73% as well as a reduction in resource depletion by substitution to cement. Furthermore, the contractor is also using Cemfree Mortar which offers similar benefits.

Using these alternatives has the following benefits:

  • Facilitates the complete removal of OPC
  • Achieves CO2 savings of up to 88%
  • Comparable strengths achieved with conventional Concrete
  • Low level of heat during curing, causing improved chemical reaction
