Arboricultural First Aid Grab Bag

The project team wanted to be able to respond to any damage to tree roots during the project without delaying the work through needing to request their Arboricultural clerk of works attend site.

The team prepared a first aid kit with all the equipment and detailed instructions on how to deal with damage to tree roots in line with their arboricultural method statement. This grab bag is located in the main compound and can be used by anyone.

A toolbox talk has been delivered to key members of the supply chain as well as staff on the correct procedure for using the kit.

The construction industry operates across diverse environments, often requiring special attention to ecological preservation. Protecting trees is essential not only for the planet’s future but also for demonstrating the industry’s commitment to safeguarding natural resources. While construction has long been associated with environmental impacts, it’s encouraging to see this perception rapidly changing.
