WELL Equity – Inclusivity and Accessibility

This contractor has become the first construction company in the UK and Europe to achieve WELL Equity which places a significant emphasis on the policies and practices that underpin the workplace culture.

The initial push for pursuing the WELL Equity certification came from the site, whose project culture strongly supported this initiative This early adoption and support exemplify how integral project culture is in driving forward-thinking and inclusive workplace policies.

The site’s commitment to these principles paved the way for broader implementation across all of their locations, showcasing the
impact of a dedicated project culture on achieving and sustaining high standards of workplace equity. Part of the project’s Worlds Heathiest Building Initiative.

Unlike conventional topdown approaches, the site teams actively contribute to policy evolution, influencing head office decisions. This
collaborative model fosters a culture of inclusivity and adaptability, where on-the-ground insights drive meaningful change.

This gives organisations an actionable framework to improve access to health and well-being, celebrate diversity, prioritise inclusivity and promote sensitivity while addressing disparities in populations that have been traditionally marginalized and underrepresented.
