Virtual Site Visits

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic and the restriction to only essential visitors to site, the project team had to think of other ways of engaging with the local college.

This lead to the use of ‘Virtual Site Visits’ through the use of a video conferencing app allowing the team to walk the students through the site while answering questions and showing the works progress.

The students found it a valuable way of seeing a live site and with it also being recorded they were able to refer back to it at a later date.

This is something that the team are looking to carry forward and will allow students not only from the local college but potentially around the world to see a live construction site.
